skate cinema: Future Primitive (The Bones Brigade)

This skate style is so nice... like he's riding waves; bending his knees all the time, making one continuous flow over the concrete pavements. Jealous.

The vert skating to me is a bit less interesting to see, it's too much stunt and show - but what's nice is the goofy boy attitude / apparel that I think gets more important with the rise of vert, and simultaneously got its form with the Bones Brigade. Yesterday I stuck around for a little while at the Amsterdam Am, and everything you could see there is already in this video, and other videos that were made in the 80s by the same people. Uninteresting side note from author who is not at all in the know about skateboarding: The energy is pretty much similar and is always nice to see. But even though there were some pretty fine runs being ran, the only thing that really made me "wow" was the 360 spins this French guy made. And he landed them. He was also the only one to wear extremely wide pants, that was pretty badass seen the overall hideousness of those slacks, and that everyone else was wearing more fashionable slim cuts made them stand out even so more. Oh yes, Ishod Wair won.
